Adjust Ac Compressor Clutch Air Gap. I want to pull the clutch plate and remove a spacer to get the thing back to spec but Im having trouble pulling the 8mm bolt from the front. We use a feeler gauge 7 to set the proper air gap.

Does anyone know if the to outer clutch plate that engages the compressor is supposed to have a friction type of material on it. There is absolutely no air gap between the clutch plates they are rubbing together. Im going to try to remove some shims to get it closer but not sure if its wore out. We use a feeler gauge 7 to set the proper air gap.
